Melkhus - From Holstein for Holstein

In the cosy, rustic ambience of our award-winning farm kitchen, every day begins and ends with good food. Our team, led by chef Patrick Kühn and head chef Christian Havemann, attaches particular importance to quality craftsmanship, the best ingredients and hospitality, and serves classic regional dishes.

Our Melkhus is a place to feel good, come together and enjoy. In winter, an open fireplace provides an extra dose of cosiness, while in summer the lakeside terrace is the place to be.

We recommend that you book a table in advance!

Tip: Our outdoor terrace by the lake is open during the warmer months.

Coffee & cake: 14:00 - 17:00

In our Melkhus farm kitchen, we live quality and regionality every day! Many of our ingredients, whether fruit, vegetables, herbs, eggs or fish and meat, come from the immediate neighbourhood. The best moment for kitchen director Patrick Kühn, head chef Christian Havemann and their team: when the best ingredients from Holstein come together on the plate and show the breadth of the region.

To start the day

Fresh coffee, homemade dips, regional cheese and much more - at Melkhus, we ensure the perfect start to the day! We pay a lot of attention to detail: from jam to muesli, we make numerous products ourselves. We source organic eggs & co. from local partners.

By the way, for guests in our hotel rooms and suites, the Immenhof breakfast is included in the overnight stay.

At lunchtime and in the evening

Whether pink roast beef from Holstein beef, fresh pasta with seasonal vegetables or North German fish specialities: For lunch and dinner, we serve regional classics from our farm kitchen. We change our à la carte menu depending on the season.

A piece of happiness

Perfect for a snack in between: Afternoon is the time for coffee and cake here at Melkhus. Our in-house patisserie always surpasses itself with a variety of cakes and tarts. A hot cup of coffee or tea - marvellous! We offer coffee and cake daily between 14:30 and 17:00, in good weather also on our outdoor terrace with lake view.
